Slidell Photo Club Exhibit – Opening Reception

Please join the Slidell Photography Club and the City of Slidell for the opening reception of the Slidell Photo Club exhibit at the Slidell Cultural Center. The opening reception will be held on Friday, May 6th, from 7-9 p.m. and the exhibit will be on display at the Slidell Cultural Center from  May 11th-June 10th.  Gallery hours are by appointment only Wednesdays through Fridays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Same-day viewings will be accommodated based on availability. Please call the Department of Cultural & Public Affairs at (985) 646-4375 for appointments. The Slidell Cultural Center is located at 2055 Second Street, on the first floor of City Hall in Olde Towne Slidell. Admission is free.

The City of Slidell celebrates the holiday season with Christmas Under the Stars, an annual celebration of twinkling lights, festive decorations,  the Parade of Trees, the life-size Christmas Cottages, Slidell’s Nativity, Christmas songs, and much more. The four day celebration begins on Friday, December 3rd and Saturday, Dec. 4th , and resumes on Friday, Dec. 10th, and Saturday, Dec. 11th at Griffith Park in Olde Towne Slidell. Hours are 6 to 9 p.m. Admission is free.

Ugly Sweater Charity Gala 2021

The City of Slidell’s Fourth Annual Mayoral Charity Gala presented by Mayor Greg Cromer and First Lady Peggy Cromer, Keep Slidell Beautiful and the City of Slidell on Sunday, December 5, at 6:00 p.m. at the Slidell Municipal Auditorium.

Proceeds benefit Peggy’s Playground, adding inclusive playground equipment for children with differing abilities.

The event will be held at the Slidell Municipal Auditorium from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. Tickets can be purchased here.
