The Bridges and Drainage Division is responsible for the following: cleaning storm drains, catch basins, culverts, and roadside ditches, repairing drainage related cave-ins, and installation of small sub-surface drainage projects, including reinforced concrete pipe of various sizes, and appropriate drop inlets. This division also maintains all canals within the City of Slidell by cleaning and reshaping all major drainage arteries throughout the City on an eighteen-month cleaning cycle. It is also responsible for the maintenance, inspection, and repairs to all drainage pumping stations within the City of Slidell. This division inspects all City-owned bridges, within City limits, every two years and maintains bridges as needed.
