Code Enforcement
MISSION STATEMENT
To protect and enhance the quality of life in our community by promoting safe, clean, and well-maintained properties through education, cooperation, and fair and consistent enforcement of City of Slidell ordinances. We work with property owners to address violations, achieve compliance, and promote safe, attractive, and thriving neighborhoods throughout the City of Slidell.
CODE ENFORCEMENT COMPLAINT FORM
Confidentially report unsafe or noncompliant properties — submit concerns about junk, high grass, drainage, permit violations, and more so City staff can investigate and take action. For ongoing awareness: In October 2025, the City of Slidell adopted Ordinance No. 4258 to help keep our community safe and well-maintained. These updates include a faster hearing, or court-like process, with 15 days’ notice; streamlined rules for property nuisances and other code violations, including junk, unsafe structures, high grass, graffiti, and trash can pick up; new hearing fees (minimum $250) and potential fines; and full implementation in Summer 2026. The goal is to help protect property values and keep the City clean, safe, and a great place to live.
