6/13/23, 10 a.m. UPDATE: The Boil Water Advisory has been lifted.
The City of Slidell has issued a Boil Water Advisory for the following addresses due to a loss of pressure:
- 1555-1597 Gause Blvd.
All affected areas have been notified by the City of Slidell. The Boil Water Advisory will be in effect until the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals analyzes all the water samples. It usually takes several days. Everyone will be notified once the advisory has been lifted.

After extensive renovations, the Lionel J. Washington Community Pool is scheduled to open for the summer on Tuesday, June 13, at 12 p.m. in Possum Hollow Park. Pool hours are Tuesdays – Saturdays, from 12 to 6 p.m. The cost is $1 per swimmer and Slidell Mayor Cromer will pay for the first 200 swimmers.

All affected areas have been notified by the City of Slidell. The Boil Water Advisory will be in effect until the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals analyzes all the water samples. It usually takes several days. Everyone will be notified once the advisory has been lifted.

This Memorial Day, Slidell Mayor Greg Cromer and the members of the Slidell City Council would like to honor the brave men and women who sacrificed their lives in service to our country.
City offices will be closed on Monday, May 29, 2023, and will reopen during regular hours on Tuesday, May 30.
Essential personnel will remain on duty. If Slidell residents experience problems with their water or sewer service, they should call the City Services 24-hour emergency hotline at (985) 643-6140.
In preparation for Louisiana Veterans Festival, the City of Slidell is announcing that Heritage Park, the boat launch and roads immediately outside of the park will be closed in conjunction with the event.
Heritage Park will close to the public at 12:01 a.m. on Saturday, May 20, and will remain closed until 6 a.m. on Sunday, May 21. Both entrances to Heritage Park on Bayou Lane will be closed to traffic and public parking will be unavailable within the park.
The Heritage Park Boat Launch will be closed at 12:01 a.m. on Saturday, May 20 and reopen at 6 a.m. on Sunday, May 21.
The Louisiana Veterans Festival, presented by the East St. Tammany Habitat for Humanity, provides an opportunity for families and friends to celebrate our veterans for their service. The festivities will be held in Heritage Park on Saturday, May 20 from 3 to 10 p.m. There will be great food and drinks, live entertainment and fireworks at 10 p.m. $15 general admission, veterans with a military ID and children 12 and under get in free. The RESTORE program will be at the Tower’s Building in Slidell and at Koop Drive at the St. Tammany Parish government complex on Tuesday, May 16, to assist anyone whose home was damaged in Hurricane Ida or the May Floods.
