Throughout her distinguished career, Dunbar has held leadership roles with organizations in California, Arizona, and Louisiana, and has contributed to numerous public art initiatives across the United States and internationally.

The competition is open to artists 18 years and older residing in Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas. Each artist may submit up to three works, with a flat entry fee of $25. A total of $600 in awards will be presented for first, second, and third place, as selected by the juror.
