Slidell Mayor Greg Cromer, the members of the Slidell City Council, and Slidell Police Chief Randy Fandal invite the public to attend the City of Slidell’s 2022 Inaugural Ceremony on Friday, July 1, at 6 p.m. at the Slidell Municipal Auditorium. The public is encouraged to attend.

All City of Slidell elected officials will be sworn in, including:

  • Bill Borchert – Slidell City Council-at-Large
  • Jeffrey Burgoyne – Slidell City Council-at-Large

The 2022 Inaugural Prayer Service will be held on the same day at 5 p.m. at Starlight Missionary Baptist Church. The public is also invited to attend.

The Olde Towne Arts Commission (OTAC) and the City of Slidell are pleased to announce “4 Corners²”, an invitational art exhibition at the George Dunbar Gallery in the Slidell Cultural Center at City Hall.  As the viewers turn each corner of the gallery, they will be introduced to four artist’s unique and different visions. Artists include Elsa Baker, Oksana Fogg, Craig McMillin, and Joshua Wichterich. 

“The artists were selected by OTAC based on the diversity of their work relative to the other three artists, said Charlotte Collins, OTAC Director. ” This show is a tribute to these four artists and the power of the arts to amaze and inform the audience. We hope you will join us for the opening reception on Friday, June 24, and hear about their individual techniques and motivation.”

The exhibit will run from June 24 – August 19, 2022. Gallery hours are Wednesday – Friday, from 12 to 4 p.m. Admission is free.
