The Slidell Art League and City of Slidell are pleased to present the “Slidell Art League’s Artists of the Year Exhibit” at the Slidell Cultural Center.  The opening reception will be held on Friday, November 5th, from 7-9 p.m. and the exhibit will be on display at the Slidell Cultural Center from November 10th- December 17th.  Gallery hours are by appointment only Wednesdays through Fridays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Same-day viewings will be accommodated based on availability. Please call the Department of Cultural & Public Affairs at (985) 646-4375 for appointments. The Slidell Cultural Center is located at 2055 Second Street, on the first floor of City Hall in Olde Towne Slidell. Admission is free.

The City of Slidell pursues every opportunity to mitigate properties in our community. Currently, we are preparing an application through the FEMA Flood Mitigation Assistance (FMA) grant program. This is a competitive program among applicants from across the country, and therefore, funding is limited.
The City of Slidell will host a meeting to discuss this application opportunity on October 27th, 2021 at 6pm in the Slidell City Auditorium. We encourage all interested property owners within the City of Slidell to attend.
If this application is funded, we will be able to offer eligible Severe Repetitive Loss (SRL) applicants as much as 100% of your eligible elevation costs. Repetitive Loss (RL) applicants are eligible for 90% of your eligible elevation costs.
