City of Slidell Opens Temporary Sandbag Location Ahead of Tropical Disturbance

In preparation for the upcoming tropical disturbance, the City of Slidell will open a temporary sandbag distribution site today near Heritage Park. The site is located at the parking lot on the corner of Bayou Lane and Pennsylvania Avenue.

The sandbag location will be open today from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Residents are encouraged to take advantage of this resource to help protect their property from potential flooding and severe weather.
