This year’s Louisiana Veterans Festival will be held Saturday, May 18th from 3pm-9pm. In preparation for the festival, the City of Slidell is announcing that Heritage Park, the boat launch and roads immediately outside of the park will be closed in conjunction with the event.  Heritage Park and the Heritage Boat Launch will closed to the public beginning at midnight, Friday night (May 17th) and will be reopened for Public Access by 6 AM, Sunday Morning (May 19th).  The public may instead use the Slidell Marine boat launch at Nathan’s restaurant but boaters must park in the street and not in the parking lot.

The Louisiana Veterans Festival, presented by the East St. Tammany Habitat for Humanity, provides an opportunity for families and friends to celebrate our veterans for their service. The festivities will be held in Heritage Park on Saturday, May 18th from 3 to 9 p.m. There will be great food and drinks, live entertainment and fireworks. $15 general admission, veterans with a military ID and children 12 and under get in free.
