The Slidell City Council will hold its regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at 6:30 PM in the Council Chambers located at 2045 Second Street, Suite 319, Slidell, LA. The meeting will also be broadcast live on the official “City of Slidell, Louisiana” Facebook page.

Slidell Mayor Randy Fandal is a lifelong resident of Slidell and a dedicated public servant with deep roots in the community as a fourth-generation Slidell native. With a career spanning over 45 years in law enforcement and more than 30 years of leadership and management experience, Randy has been committed to protecting and serving the citizens of Slidell.
Randy began his journey in public safety in 1980 with the Slidell Police Department, serving in various roles including Patrolman, Detective, and EMT. In 1990, he graduated from the Louisiana State Police Academy, earning the Douglas M. Millet Award for Academic and Leadership Excellence. Over his 22-year tenure with the Louisiana State Police, Randy advanced through the ranks from Trooper to Lieutenant and gained national recognition for his leadership of the statewide Criminal Interdiction Program, which contributed to one of the largest crystal meth seizures in U.S. history.
After retiring from the State Police in 2011, Randy undertook hiking the 2,184-mile Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine, while raising funds for the Troop L Grant-A-Wish program to benefit terminally ill children. The hike took him 6 months and 2 davs to complete. In 2013, he returned to law enforcement and shortly thereafter and was elected Slidell Chief of Police in December 2016. The Slidell Police Department’s longtime spokesperson and current Chief Administrative Officer, Daniel Seuzeneau, has been appointed to serve as Interim Chief of Police, by Mayor Randy Fandal.
A highly decorated veteran officer, Seuzeneau is no stranger to leadership roles. In his current position, he currently manages the department’s nearly $18 million budget, oversees Public and Media Relations, as well as the Information and Technology operations. He also serves as the official liaison between the City of Slidell administration, city council and the police department.
Seuzeneau, who holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Louisiana Tech University, began his law enforcement career nearly 20 years ago as a patrolman, winning the Officer of the Year in 2013, a Lifesaving Award, Exceptional Service and numerous other accolades over the years. Seuzeneau later served as a detective in the Criminal Investigations Division, where he was at one time assigned to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) task force. During his tenure as a detective, Seuzeneau was promoted to the rank of sergeant where he led several high-profile homicide, carjacking, and armed robbery investigations.
