The Olde Towne Arts Commission (OTAC) and the City of Slidell’s Cultural Arts Commission are pleased to announce “Revival”, an Invitational Art Exhibition at the George Dunbar Gallery at Slidell’s City Hall at 2055 Second Street. Our goal is for the viewer to experience the healing power in art through nine artist’s unique visions. Our invitational artists include Elsa Baker, Errol Barron, Harriet Blum, Emery Clark, Oksana Fogg, Marcia Holmes, Gail Hood, Jan Munson, and Billy Solitario.
The artists were selected based on their focus on a body of artwork that inspires a healing presence. “Revival” will run from July 19, 2024 through September 6, 2024. A reception and artist’s talk are scheduled for the evening of July 19, 2024 from 5-7 PM, free and open to the public. A private, invitation only reception and artists talk will be held on July 26, 2024 for top sponsors of the American Cancer Society. This show is a tribute to these nine award winning artists and to the power of the arts to promote healing. We hope you will join us and experience their healing visions.
Gallery viewing is by appointment only, Mondays through Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Please call the Department of Cultural & Public Affairs at (985) 646-4375 to make an appointment. Same day appointments are available. Admission is free.
