Boil Water Advisory: Taos Street and I-10 Service Road

The City of Slidell is responding to a loss of water pressure affecting Taos Street and the W. I-10 Service Road.

The loss of pressure occurred while a 2-inch water meter was being changed. During the work, a 2-inch valve blew out, requiring the water to be shut off for repairs.

As a precaution, the following addresses are currently under a Boil Water Advisory:
• 117 Taos St.
• 121 Taos St.
• 137 Taos St.
• 136 W. I-10 Service Road

Until the advisory is lifted, water should be boiled for at least one full minute before using it for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or other consumption.

City crews are working to address the water main break and restore normal service as quickly as possible. Notices have been handed out to each affected address.
