City Engineer

The City Engineer is the primary advisor to the city government for the development, maintenance, and expansion of the city’s infrastructure system, growth of the city, building safety, and permitting (including code compliance). The City Engineer leads and provides direction for the department of engineering, department of planning, and the department of building safety. Directives include but are not limited to defining, studying, developing, and administering capital improvement projects related to the city’s infrastructure system.
