City of Slidell announces 2026-2027 Cultural Season Calendar of Events
Slidell Mayor Randy Fandal, the Slidell Commission on the Arts and the City of Slidell’s Department of Cultural & Public Affairs are excited to announce the lineup of events for the City of Slidell’s 2026-2027 Cultural Season.

he new cultural season officially kicked off in August with the ninth annual White Linen and Lagniappe, which drew more than 16,000 people to Olde Towne Slidell. Attendees enjoyed live music while browsing artwork and unique items from more than 100 artists and vendors, sampling delicious food and cold drinks from local restaurants and bars, and discovering all the lagniappe found throughout Olde Towne Slidell.
“White Linen and Lagniappe was an incredible night for Slidell! It was great to see so many people out enjoying Olde Towne Slidell, supporting our local businesses, visiting with friends and celebrating the arts,” said Mayor Fandal. “And that was just the beginning! We have many more great events planned, and I encourage everyone to come out and enjoy them throughout the upcoming cultural season. Slidell is a great place for our citizens to live and work, and providing opportunities for our community to come together and enjoy these events adds to the high quality of life found in our city.”
As a city known for its rich cultural heritage and vibrant arts scene, Slidell is committed to nurturing and promoting the arts in all forms. From art exhibitions and concerts to art festivals and community events, the 2026-2027 Cultural Season will showcase local talent, attract regional artists and provide residents and visitors with a variety of cultural experiences throughout the year. All events offer free admission.
Highlights of the upcoming season include the Bayou Jam Concert Series, held each fall and spring; Arts Evening Cultural Festival; Some Enchanted Evening with the Northshore Community Orchestra; and numerous holiday events, including Christmas Under the Stars, Christmas Spectacular! with Vince Vance and the Valiants, the Krewe of Kringle Holiday Golf Cart Parade and the Holiday Concert with the Northshore Community Orchestra.
Other highlights include rotating art exhibitions in the George Dunbar Gallery at the Slidell Cultural Center at City Hall. Exhibits will include a showcase of works by world-renowned New Orleans artist Terrance Osborne; the inaugural Northshore Trashformation; the 36th annual Salad Days, featuring artwork by St. Tammany Parish students from kindergarten through senior year of high school; an exhibit featuring artists from the Slidell Art League; and solo exhibitions by local artists Dustin Young and Charles Gudaitis.
