Olde Towne Street Closures Announced for White Linen and Lagniappe on Saturday, August 8
In preparation for White Linen and Lagniappe on Saturday, August 8, 2026, the City of Slidell is announcing temporary street closures throughout the Olde Towne district.
To ensure public safety during the festivities, several streets will be closed to all vehicular traffic from 2 to 10 p.m. Affected areas include portions of the following streets:
- First Street
- Erlanger Avenue
- Bouscaren Street
- Cousin Street
- Carey Street
- Robert Street

Mayor Randy Fandal invites the community to explore the work of more than 100 artists and vendors at 39 locations throughout Olde Towne. The event will also feature live performances by 18 bands, antique and boutique shopping, and a variety of dining options at local restaurants.
Important Parking Information
Residents and visitors are advised not to park within the street closure area during the designated hours. For public safety, bollards will be installed throughout Olde Towne. Any vehicles remaining inside the barricaded perimeter after 2 p.m. will not be able to exit until the bollards are removed at 10 p.m. “SPECIAL EVENT: NO STREET PARKING” signs have been posted throughout the Olde Towne area.
