Planning Boards

The Planning Department assists customers with understanding and applying development-related City codes. The Planning Department serves as staff for 4 boards: 1) Planning Commission 2) Zoning Commission 3) Board of Adjustment 4) Olde Towne Preservation District Commission. The Planning Department coordinates with the City Administration and Council related to these boards.

Planning & Zoning Commissions

The Planning & Zoning Commissions (P&Z) are separate boards that have the same members and meet one after the other. 

Board of Zoning Adjustments

The Board of Zoning Adjustment (BZA) hears and decides upon appeals to an administrative decision and upon requests for variances from the zoning ordinance.
