Currently\, we are preparing an application through the FEMA Flood Mitigation Assistance (FMA) grant program. This is a competitive program among applicants from across the country\, and therefore\, funding is limited.\n\n\n\nThe City of Slidell will host a meeting to discuss this application opportunity on November 2nd\, 2021 at 6pm in the Slidell City Auditorium. We encourage all interested property owners within the City of Slidell to attend.\n\n\n\nIf this application is funded\, we will be able to offer eligible Severe Repetitive Loss (SRL) applicants as much as 100% of your eligible elevation costs. Repetitive Loss (RL) applicants are eligible for 90% of your eligible elevation costs.

DESCRIPTION:The City of Slidell\, Louisiana will be receiving nearly $4.7 million from the American Rescue Plan to strengthen support for vital public services. \n\nSeveral important improvements around the city will be prioritized with these funds: \n\n\n\nAeration at the Terrace Avenue Waste-Water Treatment Plant will be rehabilitated\nNew water and sewage facilities will be installed from Lindberg Drive across I-10 to the E.
